Portfolio Models

These Are some of my Portfolio pictures from 2 years ago. Though they may be out of date at this point they are still my work and are worth showing off a bit. I may not like all my work doesn't mean others in the world wont. Besides this is a blog to show all my 3d work no matter what, well to a point at least.

3D Roman Architecture

All of these pieces below are my props for Roman architecture for me to pull from. I figured that even as pieces they were worth showing off. I designed them with a bit of work in order to build a library of pieces that I can use in different scenes when I need to without having to remodel them each time. I figure its a time saver on projects rather than waste time trying to figure out each time the way things are suppose to look and finding reference pictures each time.
This above picture is fore archways. You can see the section in between that is white put there to show where the piece ends. Rather than making tons of these make one duplicate it and then use deformers to make the shape needed whether it be a hall or a dome style building.

These are the more basic forms of columns I've seen in Greek and roman architecture. I wanted this one first due to the rather common design of it.
This style has the same column but with a variation on the top of it. I have a closer view of the top piece bellow.

With some of these I set up the file so that i can throw it into the front view and choose what style column and top and bottom pieces I want to go with it. I've done some variations in order to have variety in any given situation for myself to use.

Nice and simple column with a marble look to it that i can change the color on to suit me. rather like this one though.

Above is my basic dome that I can put my columns under neath and make a quick building out of. The textures would need to be changed due to the colors but then the texture of all of these is basic in order for me to see the look easier in 3Ds Max.

Foliage Props

This Post I wont bother to explain like my other ones. I'll just give you one little burst of info about the bellow pics. They are all props I made in 3Ds Max for scenes and a little fun. Flowers and a rock or two each are a bit different as I tried to do a few different things and change the way each looked as I made them nothing serous just something I needed to do and never have.

World War II Spit Fire Fighter Design

This was a design I started for my father. I wanted to make him a picture he could hang on his wall of something he always wanted. I asked him the type of car he would have loved to won as a young man. He said a spitfire. Now your wondering why model a plane if he wanted a car? It was to do with how the company that made the plane did their ad for their car. It had the WW II Spitfire plane and car in the same scene. Sabb did the same sorta thing as well with their cars. I decided to follow in their foot steps and do the same so I had to model the plane and car. So far only the plane has been put into the works.

The above picture are the start of the design. Very basic and looks very un-distinctive at all.

These ones, above, are when I actually went through and made things look like they should. I actually decided instead of using a texture to do it. I wanted to push myself to make the model with all the metal plates modeled into it and it have more feel to it then a texture with a bump map on it. Was it the correct decision? I wont know until everything is textured.

The above pictures are me going through and adding in more details and sculpting things out so everything has the right crease and look. The nose still hadn't been fixed at this point and had rough edging to it that mde things look weird.

This set of pics shows the added parts of the plane like air scoops propellers and so on. I even went through the nose and tried to fix things as best I could. The plane still is in the works, but at the very least It's starting to look good.

Concept Stealth Fighter

This was a design That started after talking to my brother and him having some of my old work posted on his computer at work and his co workings thinking that it was a new design for the Air Force(hes AF himself) After he told me I told him I would make a real design that could be a stealth fighter with some real life physics to it and not just some random design I did for a school project.

The above picture were the start of the design. I didn't have anything to work off of other than pictures off the internet, and I never sat down to draw out designs even though I should have. The pictures in blue were just a basic design to work from that led to the designs below.

I got on a few websites and posted this on a 3D forums for digital artists and then did some redesigning for myself after trying to get some info on how a forward sweeping wing design worked in real life. They gave me some design tips and I looked at to rework. On top of that my friends from school, since graduated, told me the base mesh was to heavy and I could get the same design without all the line segments. I started to go back and do all the work to fix it.

These were where I started to redo all the un needed line segments after looking at the above pictures. With all of those it took me a while but with some re-working I got the below pictures.

I went through took out everything I could while keeping the body shape the way I had it. I got ride of some un-needed wing flaps to be put back in later and tried to keep everything looking the way I had intended it to be. It's still in the works to get it done. I need to work on the engine as well as add landing gear, with all the geometry with it, textures, flaps and much more.
